Ramsey Muskogee Creek Heritage Database

Calhoun County Public Library, in partnership with Advantage Archives, now offers a searchable online database of extensive research on Calhoun County’s Muskogee Creek history.  Researchers everywhere can enjoy over 3,000 pages of history and heritage, compiled and donated by Dr. Andrew Boggs Ramsey.

The Community History Archives are user friendly, and easy to learn. Search by keyword or browse the archive by title or publication date.

Panhandle Pioneer Settlement

The Panhandle Pioneer Settlement is a living-history museum in Blountstown, Florida, featuring a collection of 18 historical buildings ranging from the 1820s to the 1940s. 

Chief John Blount

When you enter the foyer of the Blountstown Public Library, you are greeted by the bronze sculpture of Blountstown’s founder, Chief John Blount.  This unique work of art was created by Calhoun County native, Clifford Leonard, and presented to the library in 2013.
